Srushti Conservation Foundation

We are not for profit company established in January 2021.

It primarily aims to promote and undertake biodiversity research, community based conservation, restoration of degraded habitats, ecosystem-based solutions, climate change adaptation and outreach, and provide sound scientific knowledge for environmentally sustainable economic development.

Director
He is a co-founder of Shrusti Conservation Foundation. Sudhir is truly entrepreneur with a passion for wild life, tourism, and adventure.

Mr. Nitin Kakodkar

Director
Nitin H Kakodkar from the 1987 batch of the Indian Forest Service retired in June 2021 after 34 years of in-service experience having served in different departments/sectors in Maharashtra.

Deepak Apte, PhD

Executive Director
Deepak is currently Executive Director at Srushti Conservation Foundation. His wildlife career spans over three and half decades. His key areas of expertise are Marine and Coastal Biodiversity, Integrated Coastal Zone Management, Coastal Regulation Zone, Climate Change and Land Degradation and nature conservation related policies.

Currently he is Chairman of Environmental Appraisal Committee on CRZ and Infrastructure (1), Ports, Harbours, Industrial Estates, and National Highway (Green Field Alignments) of Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India and member of several other committees. As a Principal Scientist, he has implemented over 50 major research projects and over 1000 training programmes, and written over 100 popular articles and editorials and 35 technical reports.
