Assessment of Status of Biodiversity at TATA Motors Plant in India​

The TATA Motors Limited has six establishments in states of Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Karnataka covering about 2200 ha area. These land parcels are not limited to the industrial estate but also serves as habitat for several biodiversity elements. For example, the Pune based plant was once a barren scrubland, but over the years this land was transformed into a beautiful wetland and forest habitat.

About this programme

Tata Motors Ltd roped in Srushti Conservation Foundation for biodiversity benchmarking of all these sites and develop biodiversity conservation blue print. This will enable the TATA Motors Limited to undertake scientifically robust habitat restoration through native species.
