Sudhir Sapre
Co-Founder
He is a Co-founder of Shrusti Conservation Foundation.
Sudhir Sapre for whom trekking was a passion has been able to convert into a profession. “I do not see my trekking and tour expeditions as business or profession, as I am particularly passionate about it,” says he.
And truly, despite a lucrative career in the shipping industry he completed a tough scooter expedition from Mumbai to Khar-Dung-La Ladakh, the highest motorable road (18380’) in the world and back to Mumbai in August 1994.
Sapre is truly entrepreneur with a passion for wild life, tourism, and adventure. He has a lot of trekking behind him in Sahyadris and the Himalayas for last 20 years.
Sudhir has worked as a camp leader for different organizations, spurred by his love for traveling, wild life and his desire to share the specialties of the unusual places with friends and visitors
It is therefore surprising how he has achieved so much in so little a time equipped with a diploma in travel and tourism from IITC, Mumbai, 1981 and a diploma from IATA in 1986. “I loved the field and did these courses while I was worked as shipping executive in Mumbai from 1980-1996,” he reminisces.
